Seeking an operator for a vertical lathe in Brønderslev
Job Description
Seeking an employee for a vertical lathe!
Are you skilled in vertical turning—or eager to learn—and do you enjoy watching raw materials transform into finished, high-quality products in your hands? Then you could very well be the next colleague we’re looking for to join the night shift at our workshop in Brønderslev. We’re a company with a positive atmosphere, a down-to-earth approach, and a focus on doing things right, and we’re currently looking for an operator for our vertical lathe.
Here, you’ll experience a workday with a steady pace, varied tasks, and a culture where everyone is happy to lend a hand. You’ll be an important part of production and will work closely with the machines, where you can see the results of your work right away.
What you’ll be doing:
In this role, you’ll operate our vertical lathe and be involved in the entire process related to the workpieces. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that we deliver high-quality products on time, without compromising safety or order. You’ll receive training in our way of doing things so that you feel confident in your tasks.
Your typical tasks will include:
- Operating, monitoring, and adjusting the vertical lathe during production
- Setting up workpieces, clamping them in place, and verifying that programs and tools are appropriate for the task
- Ongoing quality control and measurement of workpieces to ensure tolerances and requirements are met
- Troubleshooting simple production issues and maintaining close communication with colleagues if problems arise
- Daily cleaning and maintenance of the machine and work area to ensure it is safe and tidy
- Collaborating with the rest of the production team on planning and prioritizing tasks
We’re looking for a colleague who takes responsibility for their work and is eager to improve their skills. You don’t need to be an expert in vertical turning, but it’s a big plus if you already have experience with machinery and are used to hands-on, technical work.
We envision that you:
- Have knowledge of turning or CNC machines, preferably with production experience
- Have worked in production or in a workshop for at least one year
- Can read simple technical drawings and use common measuring tools
- Work in an organized manner and can keep a cool head when handling multiple tasks at once
- Are reliable, take responsibility, and contribute to a positive work environment
- Speaks and understands Danish well enough to follow instructions and safety rules
