About the Job

At Dansk Træemballage, you’ll be part of a specialized grinding department that sharpens and maintains band saw blades for both our own production and external clients. This is an exciting niche field where you’ll have the opportunity to learn a rare craft and build strong technical skills. You’ll work on setting up and operating grinding machines as well as handling band saw blades of various sizes. The machine park consists of older, reliable machines, so it’s important that you’re eager to learn the technical aspects and enjoy hands-on, solution-oriented work. Additionally, your responsibilities will include tasks such as welding and rolling band saw blades.  

We’re looking for someone who:

• Have a technical understanding of and interest in machines, mechanics, and craftsmanship
• Have a passion for craftsmanship and are motivated by working in a specialized niche field
• Are eager to learn, patient, and motivated to build specialized knowledge
• Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
• Is adaptable and thrives on shifting focus throughout the workday when it adds value to production
• Have the physical strength required to safely handle large saw blades

It would be an advantage if you:

• Have experience at a sawmill or in the wood industry, or have a basic understanding of wood
• Have experience in the metal industry or knowledge of how metal behaves
• Have experience with welding or rolling metal and saw blades
• Have knowledge of working with rolling machines

But the biggest advantage is that you have the desire to learn a new specialized craft and develop your skills in a field that only a few have mastered.  

Work Hours

Monday through Thursday: 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Friday: 7:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
