Warehouse supervisor wanted for a company in Silkeborg

On behalf of our partner in Silkeborg, JKS is looking for a committed and structured warehouse supervisor who can take responsibility for the daily operation and at the same time be an active part of the work in the warehouse.

This is a full-time temporary position with an expected duration of 6 months. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 07.00-15.00.

About the job

As warehouse supervisor you get a central role in the daily warehouse operation, where you will be responsible for coordinating tasks, supporting the employees and ensuring an efficient work process.

We are looking for a player-coach who can both lead and motivate the employees, but who also takes part in the practical tasks, such as picking, packing and goods receiving.

You will be responsible for a smaller team of 3 employees and will also be an important part of the company’s work to optimise and further develop the warehouse.

Your tasks

• Daily management, coordination and training of 3 warehouse employees
• Taking part in practical warehouse work, including picking and packing of orders
• Cooperation with customer service on returns and implementation of procedures for a new returns portal
• Optimisation and maintenance of the warehouse layout in Smartpack
• Taking part in the ongoing rebuilding and development of the warehouse
• Troubleshooting in connection with goods receiving, picked orders and damaged goods
• Ordering of packaging and warehouse supplies
• Ongoing stocktaking and stock control
• Goods receiving and handling of incoming goods

We expect that you

• Have solid experience with warehouse work and logistics
• Preferably have experience with team leadership, coordination or training of employees
• Have a good understanding of IT and experience with warehouse management systems
• Work in a structured way and have a good overview
• Are solution-oriented and good at optimising work processes
• Are comfortable with both administrative and practical tasks
• Are a clear and motivating colleague who leads the way and takes responsibility
• Are flexible, independent and reliable about attendance

It is an advantage if you have experience with Smartpack, but the most important thing is that you have a good understanding of warehouse work and want to learn.
